Biography

Yahya Al Bishri was born in 1962 in the city of Abha, Saudi Arabia where he received a primary education before moving to Jeddah to complete his studies
Yahya developed a love for literature and poetry which led him into journalism.
In 1986 Yahya discovered fashion and he was so passionate that he decided to try to make a career out of it. Initially he studied in Italy and then on to Paris where he finally completed his degree in fashion after graduating from the Paris American Academy.
A pivotal point in his career came when he was commissioned to design
a dress for the late HRH Princess Diana.
In 1990 he opened his Fashion House in Jeddah (Yahya Couture) where he designed
bridal and evening wear couture. Soon after he opened the men’s wear department and has now ventured into children’s clothing. Yahya couture has become a thriving business with it’s unique style,
quality and elegance, inspired by the heritage of the Arabian Peninsula and combined with a cosmopolitan style
His career spanning two decades has inspired fashion shows in many countries across
the globe including France, Russia, Jordan, Egypt, USA,Oman, Morocco, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia.
Many of these high profile shows have been attended by heads of states and royalty
He has been the guiding light in the Arab world of fashion for men and women.
The innovative style involving poetry, symmetry and movement create a feeling of peace and love.
He takes fashion into another dimension, one which will leave a legacy for many generations to come.
